Need your good thoughts! And prayers!

Since . . .
  • I didn't get in the Umstead 100 this last weekend
  • I'm in fairly good physical condition right now
  • running 100 miles is on my "bucket list"
  • I'm not getting any younger
  • there are no other 100 milers close by happening soon
  • I probably wouldn't make any official race cut-off anyway
  • temperatures are getting warmer every day
I decided my first 100 mile run would be this coming weekend . . . on my own.  On the roads in Rocky Mount.  No shirt, no buckle.  Just one old, stubborn old fool, trying . . . wish me luck.

  1. Good luck! That's very inspiring!

  2. Being a stubborn fool is probably one of the best attributes you can have when it comes to finishing 100.

From one stubborn fool to another, good luck.

Oh, and get yourself a buckle made - a "First Place" one!

  3. Good Luck, Triple F!

I know you can do it and I'll be thinking about you for sure. I plan to see you somewhere along the way as well.

  4. This is proper. You have made a decision. Now complete your quest.

  5. You will be in my thoughts and prayers both frank!!! can't wait to hear about the epic adventure that awaits you!!! Godspeed!!

  6. I love reading your posts. You can do it!! Can't wait to hear how it goes. Good luck!

  7. Thanks for the words of encouragement! What seemed fun a few weeks ago is now becoming a scary thought with lot's of "negatives" getting into my head . . . Temps in the 80s . . . was sick from last Thursday until Monday . . . had a bad run today.

Got to straighten my mind out! But I promise I will!

  8. Good luck. I know you can do it!!! Can't wait to read about your adventure.

  9. Good Luck Frank!! I know you can do it!! I'll be thinking about you and can't wait to hear about it at work on Monday.

  10. Frank, I know you are running right now. Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you. You are probably about half way into the run right now. Keep it up!!! I am in awe.

  11. How did it go, Frank? RM has nothing on Medoc's Dam(n) Site Loop Trail. I'll expect a fully gory report at the next PAC. Joel
