Need your good thoughts! And prayers!

Since . . .
  • I didn't get in the Umstead 100 this last weekend
  • I'm in fairly good physical condition right now
  • running 100 miles is on my "bucket list"
  • I'm not getting any younger
  • there are no other 100 milers close by happening soon
  • I probably wouldn't make any official race cut-off anyway
  • temperatures are getting warmer every day
I decided my first 100 mile run would be this coming weekend . . . on my own.  On the roads in Rocky Mount.  No shirt, no buckle.  Just one old, stubborn old fool, trying . . . wish me luck.

  2. Being a stubborn fool is probably one of the best attributes you can have when it comes to finishing 100.

From one stubborn fool to another, good luck.

Oh, and get yourself a buckle made - a "First Place" one!

  7. Thanks for the words of encouragement! What seemed fun a few weeks ago is now becoming a scary thought with lot's of "negatives" getting into my head . . . Temps in the 80s . . . was sick from last Thursday until Monday . . . had a bad run today.

Got to straighten my mind out! But I promise I will!

  11. How did it go, Frank? RM has nothing on Medoc's Dam(n) Site Loop Trail. I'll expect a fully gory report at the next PAC. Joel
